Welcome to Learn Maths with Pelumi, your friendly online destination for learning mathematics in a simple, practical, and enjoyable way. My goal is to help students and anyone interested in mathematics develop the knowledge, confidence, and problem-solving skills they need to understand maths without unnecessary confusion.
Learn Maths with Pelumi was founded in 2021 by Pelumi Adeyemo, out of a genuine passion for mathematics and a desire to make learning easier and more enjoyable for others.
For many students, mathematics can sometimes seem difficult, complicated, or even frightening. I believe, however, that mathematics does not have to be that way. With the right explanation, the right approach, and enough practice, almost any mathematical problem can become easier to understand.
Mathematics Has More Than One Way In
I like to think of mathematics as a building with many windows and doors. You can choose to enter through the main door, climb through a window, or, as I like to say, even jump in through the roof!
What does this mean?
It means that there can be different ways of approaching and solving a mathematical problem. Some methods may be long, while others may be shorter and more straightforward. Some approaches may work better for one person than another.
Here at Learn Maths with Pelumi, I focus on helping you discover the simplest, clearest, and most understandable method for solving mathematical problems.
My aim is not simply to give you an answer. I want you to understand why the answer is correct and how you can apply the same knowledge to another problem.
Making Mathematics Simple
One of the biggest reasons I created this platform is because I know that many students struggle with mathematics, not necessarily because they cannot learn it, but because it may not have been explained to them in a way they understand.
Sometimes, a complicated mathematical topic only needs a simple explanation.
That is where I come in.
Through this blog, I share mathematics lessons, explanations, worked examples, tips, problem-solving techniques, and other educational content designed to make learning maths more accessible.
Whether you are trying to understand algebra, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, equations, indices, logarithms, probability, or other areas of mathematics, my goal is to break concepts down into manageable steps.

Why I Love Teaching Mathematics
Beyond mathematics itself, I have a strong desire to reach people, share knowledge, and put a smile on their faces.
There is something special about watching someone finally understand a topic they previously thought was impossible. That moment when a difficult problem suddenly becomes clear can completely change a student's attitude towards mathematics.
That is one of the things that motivates me.
I want students to move from saying:
“I can't do mathematics.”
to saying:
“Let me try it. I can solve this.”
My purpose is to encourage that confidence.

My Teaching Philosophy
My approach is simple:

I believe that everyone can improve their mathematical ability with proper guidance and consistent practice. You do not have to be the “best student” in your class to become good at mathematics.
You simply need to be willing to learn.
I also encourage students not to be afraid of making mistakes. Mistakes are part of learning. Every wrong answer can teach you something about the process and help you become better at solving the next problem.
